I have forgotten to update you, my friend, to the questions that you have posed (I like that word, by the way). Ummm...yeah...I lost my car. Yep, it's a goner...and it sucks. The Repo Man arranged a plan for me to pay weekly ($500/wk) until I reached HIS goal, BUT if I missed a single week or was late even once, I would lose the car and all of the money that I had paid as of that date, if it were to happen. So, I agreed...and then realized that knowing myself the way I do...and as you do, too, it seems...there is a high probability that I would hit a snag and f*ck up somehow someway during that six weeks. Also, I would have to get insurance again as I let mine lapse...I know, I know...and according to my previous efforts to obtain insurance, my driving record is just not...shall we say...A PLEASANT ONE! I did NOT realize this until my monthly quotes for insurance were actually higher than my car payment. So, with that in mind, I decided that the odds of me "catching up", getting insurance, paying other bills, blah, blah, blah were not in my favor. So, I decided to think a little too long about the deal, I guess, because when I decided to GO FOR IT (yes, I always do the opposite of what is realistic, it seems), I called the Repo Man one morning and was informed that he gave me until 5:30pm THE DAY BEFORE and then told them to take it to the auction...so they did...and it's gone. I had a brief ten to fifteen minutes of which I was inconsolable (yes, I stole that from Dr. Evil in one of the Austin Powers movies), and then I decided to move on and just said "F*ck It!". I waited until I hung the phone up, of course, but I wanted to address that outburst to the Repo Man himself...but he was just doing his job. :(
What else??? Oh, my living situation is going well...caught up on the rent...paying on time...dodging the security cameras pointed at my door (JUST KIDDING)...who can "dodge" those? ;) My neighbors are okay...some of them...although there is one that is extremely weird and pathetically boring...and another who roams around after being "up" for a few days...yeaahhhh...let's don't draw attention to ourselves, buddy! ;)
As for turning 40, yeah, WHATEVER, Johnny! Wanna trade places?? Wait...how old are you first? ;) I'm dreading it and just don't want to do it...but I guess it beats the alternative. I saw this t-shirt that I must have before Wednesday (THE DAY)...it shows a hand "flipping the bird" and says something like "I've Got 40 (insert bird flippage...lol) of these for you"...actually, it may not say it just like that, but you get the picture. It's funny...so I want it!!
Business has been slow but my "bread and butter" site has been down, and it always blows (pun intended) when that happens...so I'm hangin' in there!
Anyway, my oatmeal is getting cold so I shall return...so I know you will be anticipating said return...right? Or...I will be back anyway!
