I was just looking over the number of hits over the...ahem...years and did notice a trend. If the title was "catchy" and the blogs were personal, funny, or just interesting at all, they got more hits and stayed in the triple digits. Then some of the boring ones went a little lower and lately they are in the double digits...WTF?? So, I deduced from that little observation...yeah, it took me awhile...that I have apparently lost my touch! :(
Well, don't fret my faithful readers, I am STILL the same fiesty and witty gal but just haven't taken the time to SHARE....
Ummm, here's the latest: My dogs are doing great (boring, I know but it's like a "warm-up" so bear with me). Jake, my lab, has an infection in both ears so he is now on oral antibiotics and pain meds....ahhhh, I feel like such a bad mom to let him get this bad. But, the past is the past, and he is on the mend. He and Jenny, my Jack Russell Terrier, look so cute right now. They are sharing a blanket and lying next to each other while I sit here and type this. I took a couple of pics to capture the moment and Jenny was startled at the "clicking" sound of my camera phone...it was entertaining to me but roused her abruptly from her slumber...lol. Anyway, she is such a Mama's girl...when she was a puppy, I have her on video being a little turd while we were gone, tearing up things while whining and growling at the same time...ltm. So, the other day, I was getting in the car to take Jake to Doggy Day Out. Jenny usually gets to go on little outings with me and has since she was a puppy, so she knew what I meant when I said to Jake that we were going to "go in the car". So, while Jake was not really wanting to jump in, I turned around and Jenny (13 lbs or so) was struggling to pull herself up into the front seat. It was cute. But, I had to rip her off of the ledge of the car...lol...and put her inside while I lured Jake into the car. So, we left and I dropped him off to get rowdy with the other big dogs, ran some short errands, and returned home. After I pulled into the "bat cave" (what I call my attached garage because I pull out and drive into it and always close quickly behind me...as if I may be followed...ltm), I could hear Jenny howling away. She never does that so I had to take a second to listen again, and I started laughing so hard. But, since my condo is three levels, she couldn't hear me. So, I ever so gently placed my key to unlock the door so she wouldn't hear me and tried to sneak in. She was in mid-howl and paused briefly as if she heard me. So, I was very quiet and just stood there trying not to laugh. She began howling again. I finally started to walk up the stairs and she came running down, all excited to see me. It was hilarious because she KNEW that I was taking Jake in the car and not her and was MAD...lol. He stays overnight so that he has two full days to romp around, and she was glued to my hip so that she wouldn't miss it if I tried to leave again. Ohhhh, it was too funny...and if you're not at all amused by this little story, then I guess you just had to be there. ;)
See, when I get to talking, I just don't stop. I was going to expand my entry but noticed that I really went all out on this one so I'm going to bed...really. I guess you'll just have to check back later now, won't you? (Don't you like my lame attempt at reverse psychology?)
So, with that being typed, I will be back!
