So, before I share this little anecdote, I feel the need to state that I do not need help, sympathy, etc. but am merely sharing something that has happened as I find it ridiculous, amusing, and quite humbling. So, on that note, just enjoy the moment with me, k?
Now, I am the world's worst at paying bills on time...well, I actually know of one other person who is pretty bad, too, but I digress. So, I forgot to pay the gas bill...apparently for a couple of months, and it was disconnected. So, although I would have preferred that it NOT be disconnected, I also think to myself, "Oh well, so I can't cook until it's back on...(cough, cough)...ahem...it's not like I ever did before anyway..." But, nooooo, the gas service here not only affects the gas stove, but also the heat and the HOT WATER! Yep, so I have discovered in a very crude way that I do NOT like taking a cold shower at all. Have you ever tried shaving with goosebumps?? Let's just say that the whole experience is one bloody (pun intended) hell of a mess! So, I went over to a friend's place to take a hot shower tonight and felt so....grateful. Yes, I am high maintenance, I suppose. On the down side, however, I tried to cut it too close to an appt. and screwed things up there...again. I'm just going to bed for now and try to sleep until the employees of TXU Gas Service clock in in a few hours and I can get my gas back! (Even though it's late, I could so go places with that last statement, but I think I'm just going to let that one go...did NOT mean to do that again...I can't stop...there it was again...) LOL...OKAY, goodnight!
